Ladies Field Day and NB Provincial Best Ball at Gowan Brae
Time is running out to register for these events. June 1st is the final date for players to register for the Provincial Best Ball being held at our course on Sunday, June 10th. This is a team event with two people playing their own ball.Only the best score from the team counts towards your overall score. This is the first year that the NBGA has held this event and they are hoping for a good turn out. You must register directly with the NBGA office in Fredericton. If you need more information just inquire at the Pro Shop. Also, the Ladies Invitational at Gowan Brae is on Saturday, June 9th. Players have until Tuesday, June 5th to enter this event. Please enter as soon as possible as these events will fill quickly.
Opening Dinner and Dance Cancelled
Unfortunately, the Opening Dinner and Dance has had to be cancelled because of poor ticket sales.
Membership Registration Moving Very Well
Memberships have been coming into the club at a good pace this year. We already have a number of new members so it is important that all last years members get registered as soon as possible. This way we will have a good idea on numbers for 2007. Last years total was 775 including our Junior Golfers.
New President for Gowan Brae
Ed Mc Dermaid was elected president of Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club for the 2007 season during the Annual meeting on Sunday evening.

Notice to Members
Members who have club storage are asked to remove their clubs by October 29th as the club house will be closed after that date. Also, members who have electric cart caddies are asked to take them home by October 24th so we can store our power carts for the winter. The flagsticks will be left in until the covers are installed and members are asked to respect the course for frost conditions during this period.
